Routes

La Rondita can be accessed in a variety of ways.
Directions will be provided prior to your arrival.
The most direct route is by air. Currently you can fly with Easyjet to Asturias Airport (code “OVD”) from London Stansted which is only 75 minutes drive away ( www.easyjet.com ). Or choose Ryanair to Santander from London Stansted which is a 90-minute drive to the house ( www.ryanair.com ). Both airlines offer reasonable car hire deals. Also Easyjet fly to Bilbao from London Stansted (2 ¼ hours' drive). Bilbao airport is also accessible from most major European cities. British Airways ( www.britishairways.com ) and Iberia ( www.iberia.com ) fly from the UK to Asturias airport via a choice of Spanish cities.
There is a ferry service to Santander from Plymouth and Portsmouth ( www.britannyferries.com ), or to Bilbao from Portsmouth, also now with Brittany Ferries, should you choose to use your own car. Or cross the Channel by rail or ferry and drive down through France and across into Northern Spain.
There is a station in the village and the line serves Oviedo and Santander, as well as many local towns and villages. You can still get to the beach or shops without the car! |
